Most recently as a senior energy & utilities editor, working closely alongside site founder and consumer champion, Martin Lewis. During the energy crisis he led a working group of energy companies, key charities and consumer groups, holding the suppliers to account and lobbying Government in a range of areas to help consumers and the most vulnerable. Other than energy and utilities, Gary has led teams across a range of other verticals, including money, deals/shopping and social media. As an energy, utilities and money expert, Gary is a regular guest on TV and radio - appearing on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio One's Newsbeat, ITV news, BBC TV regional news, BBC's The Nine show in Scotland, BBC local radio and more. He also gives regular quotes for a range of national newspapers and magazines and speaks at industry conferences. He has previously worked at national newspapers. Outside of work he likes to put his money-saving skills to the test, whether haggling with his TV provider, or hunting for a great deal on his next holiday. He also has his hands full with two small children and when he is not enjoying family time, you can likely find him at the Emirates Stadium, where he has a season-ticket to watch the Arsenal - his other great passion.
