If you have received a text or an email asking you to pay for Look After My Bills it is a scam and unfortunately we have no control over or the individuals or organisation operating the scam. If you have received a scam message we strongly recommend that you take the following steps:

 
  • Forward the suspicious text to your network provider for free to 7726. If you forward a text to 7726, your provider can investigate the origin of the text and arrange to block or ban the sender, if it’s found to be malicious;
  • Take a screenshot or screen recording of the text message and send it to the National Cyber Security Centre at [email protected];
  • If you’ve lost money as a result of responding to a suspicious text message: (i) Report to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or visiting https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/contact-us; and (ii) report the fraud to your bank who may be able to recover some of the funds that they released on your behalf; and
  • Review your social media account settings to ensure that your contact details are not openly available to view.
